Full Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Samburu, afternoon game drive (LD) 

Depart Nairobi for Samburu via the scenic surroundings of Mount Kenya  area. On arrival, check into your lodging for lunch, and after a brief  relaxation time, proceed for an evening game drive in search for lions,  elephants, gerenuk, grevy's zebra, onyx, the reticulated giraffe, and  other plains game.

Day 2: Game drives in Samburu (BLD)

Early morning game drives, return to your lodging for breakfast.  After breakfast, enjoy another game drive, returning for lunch.  Relaxation mid-day, followed by an evening game drive.

Day 3: Drive to Lake Nakuru, afternoon game drive (BLD)

Depart after breakfast past the northern tip of the Aberdare  Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is  located. Lake Nakuru is home to thousands of flamingoes, buffalo, lions,  zebra, giraffe, and many bird species. After lunch, proceed for an  evening game drive.

Day 4: Drive to Masai Mara, afternoon game drive (BLD)

After breakfast, drive to Masai Mara with a stop for picnic lunch. On  arrival, you enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of black maned  lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, rhino, and other game.

Day 5: Masai Mara game drive (BLD)

A full day is spent game viewing across the rich tree studded  grassland and rolling hills. The Masai Mara is renowned for its great  herds of plains game, black maned lion, leopard, cheetah, and elephants.  For an extra cost, you can visit a local Maasai village or enjoy a hot  air balloon safari early in the morning.

Day 6: Game drives in the Masai Mara (BLD)

Today, we continue to explore the Mara region packed with the  elephants, zebras, rhinos and all kinds of game throughout the year.

Day 7: Early morning game drive, transfer to Nairobi (B)
